"NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS"

(my Hillsong United concert reflection)

Those were the words that stuck to my head after the Hillsong concert. Four ordinary words may mean nothing to others but when it is associated with God it will give you a profound and deep meaning.

As I stood there, raising my hands singing and worshipping at the top of my lungs I felt His magnificence, His greatness and Love that poured on me. There is no room for fear and worries that night. It's just me and my King.

And as I reflect on what had happened, I was caught in awe and just smile realizing how a big and powerful God could love a sinner like me. How a crazy Man who gave up His life just to save me. And as I pictured myself kneeling at the foot of His cross, head bowed down ashamed for what I've done, I heard a gentle and loving voice saying "I can trade everything just to have your heart."

Those smiles became tears. And those tears became smiles once more as His love overflow in my soul and my being.

Yes. It is hard to imagine that the same God who created the universe, the galaxies, the planets and the stars knows my name. The same God who ruled heaven and all creation came down from His throne just to redeem me.

Absurd? Yes. Foolish? Maybe. But one thing is for sure, His Love.

And Nothing Compares to this.
