"100% HEALED" IS A MYTH

(because it doesn't work that way...)
I'VE READ SOMEWHERE...
that you don't really get to be 100% healed. Nope, you aren't able to reach that because every day is a constant struggle between being okay and not okay. Every day, something will trigger you, no matter how small it is, to remind you of that one painful moment in your past. The concept of being "healed" is not that you no longer feel the hurt; it is when you still feel that pain, but instead of dismissing it, you honor it. Instead of forcing yourself not to be affected by it, you acknowledge it. Then, once you realize it's there, you manage it.
You then say to yourself, "That pain is all in the past now. It became part of me, but I don't allow myself to relive that moment again. I already learned from it, and I'm now heading in a new direction. That version of me is different from the version I am now."
I must admit that managing your feelings is not an easy process. It would take a few weeks or months before you could really say those words with conviction, but that's ok. Take all the time that you need, but while waiting for the right time, just allow yourself to be open and believe that things will get better. Give yourself time to process what you need to process, but I hope that it will not take you too long because there are still a lot of exciting things that life can offer.
You CAN do this. You will get BETTER and You will OVERCOME. 😊
