"BURGER STEAK"

I was in my second year in college when I joined the Center for the Performing Arts in our school. One night after our practice for a play, my friends and I went to this fast food chain to buy something to eat.

We ordered some food and decided to bring it home because we cannot stay any longer due to the fact that it is already late. We went out of the store and I notice a beggar outside. I can't remember if it is a boy or a girl but I know that this person didn't eat much the whole day. I don't know why but at that moment I instantly gave my burger steak and smile before leaving. Even though I ended up hungry that night, I just went to bed and slept knowing that I did a good deed and did not pay attention to it anymore.

The next morning while were having our lunch break, one of my friend went to me holding a piece of packed lunch and said:

"Neon, sayo na lang tong lunch ko, busog pa kasi ako. Kainin mo na lang. Di ko pa yan nagagalaw."

And guess what's inside... It is a BURGER STEAK!

I laughed.. Amazed... Awed at what happened. I was laughing and told God:

"Lord, pinapatawa mo ba ako??" words can't expressed the joy I felt inside. And at that moment I realized that our God can really never be outdone!

Hindi ko talaga makakalimutan yung pangyayari na yun kasi dun ko na realize kung gaano ka galing si Lord na gumawa ng moments sa buhay natin para i-bless tayo.. Na ibalik yung mga bagay na nawala sa atin. Isa pa sa kinatutuwa ko, pwede naman nyang ibalik yun as a burger, or an ice cream pero bakit burger steak pa??? Di ba?

Brothers and Sisters today, let us start to be generous to someone. Not only to your relatives and friends but to anyone that needs our help. And I firmly believe that God will REPLACE all things that we have lost and replace it with so much more that it OVERFLOWS.. You cannot outdone God's generosity... You cannot compete with Him... If you are generous, guess what? He will be MORE generous than you.

But you know what? Sometimes ang pagiging generous ay yung pagbigay mo ng isang bagay na galing sayo kahit alam mo na WALA ka na para sa sarili mo.. Yes, its ok to give when you know that you still have extra back there but to give even when you know you will be left with nothing, well that is something...

Always remember that GOD is the source of all the blessings... Kaya pag nawalan ka, dont worry, MARAMI PA YAN, HINDI KA MAUUBUSAN... SOBRA SOBRA PA NGA EH..
