"LIFE @ 29"

(special birthday post) Woohoo! 29 years. That's how long I'm living here on earth. 29 years of happiness, joy, laughter, triumphs and victories. But also 29 years of sorrow, regrets, pains and hurts. All of these things made up of the person you now called Neon. Looking back, I can still remember those dark times in my life. Those moments when I just want to end it all. When I lose hope in everything in my life. I can still remember the time when I asked myself what is really my purpose? Is there more to life than this? As I step in and celebrate my 29 years of existence, I realized how stupid those questions were. When I started to renew my commitment to God, little by little it starts to make sense. There is more to life than just school and work. That apparently, it is also our duty to help others and to know that the key in finding yourself is to lose yourself in service. And by serving others you will know that the purpose of life is to LOVE. To love just like Jesus did. To love without shame, to love without fears and to love unconditionally. I'm very thankful to God that despite everything I did, He still loves me. That during the times when I don't believe myself, He still believes in me. During the times I gave up on me, You never let me go. Indeed, You are a God who is faithful, who never forsakes us and never abandons. And as You sustain me all these years with Your blessings and guidance I firmly believe that this is just a start. An appetizer of more big things to come. Your best is just around the corner waiting for the perfect time. Now, on my road to 30, I'm so excited for what's to come. Whatever that might be, I'm just being grateful NOW. And as I wait, I will just continue to praise Him and glorify His Name. Forever.
