In other words, the flight didn't push through.
Yes, you heard it right. Me and my officemate was not able to fly to Australia. The main reason? Our Visas were not processed on time.
I have to admit, I was a little bit sad but the most prevailing emotion for me was - confusion. I was confused about what had happened.
Instead of "God, why did You do this?" The question that I asked Him is, "God, what is Your message You want to convey?" I'm not sure if God just wants to make fun out of me or if He doesn't have anything else to do that is why he did this very elaborate plan.
Why is it that when I already accepted what He gives, just when I'm already ready that is when He just simply took it away.
and then it hit me.
Maybe He is just testing me. You see, my ultimate prayer is for me to develop a deep trust and to surrender to Jesus and for Him to teach me how to offer everything to Him. And when He sees your efforts and heart, that is when He will give you the very desires of your heart.
I do believe that He tested me how far my trust in Him goes - not because of vengeance or whatnot but because He wants to deepen my relationship with Him. He wants me to see that more than the blessing He will give, He is MORE concern of my character. He wants me to treat Him not as an ATM but to establish a relationship with Him.
He wants me to focus not just the blessings BUT the BLESSER. Not just the gift BUT the GIVER. Not just the treasure BUT the SOURCE of all treasure.
Now, not only I'm now able to attend our Jesus Encounter but He also allows me to attend the special meetings and activities in our community! Not only that, our client STILL wants us to travel to Australia by next year! Praise God indeed!
I learned that although God has the full authority of all things, He is not strict in loving us. He takes into consideration the state and desires of our hearts. As long as our plans our good and align to His will, I'm sure that He will still grant those dreams.
Friends, do you already have plans in your life? That's good! But make sure that when the time comes, you should also put those dreams in His hand. Allow Him to make those dreams come true. It may not be the version you want but it is the BEST version He can give you. And when you believe that He is an all-knowing God, rest assured that ALL IS WELL.
