RATING: ❤️❤️❤️/5

==========

I first found out this new coffee shop near our office when I was walking home from work. It may look like your average local coffee shop, but once you get in, you'll realize that it is one of the most distinctive among its competition.

==========

🏢DESIGN

As I enter the premises, the first thing you'll see would be the white scooter displayed at the left side. As per quick research, it is supposed to be the replica of Justin Bieber's Vespa scooter. I'm not sure if this comes with their brand or it is what the owner likes but nevertheless, motorcycle enthusiast would surely be interested with this feature.

The interior of the shop feels like you're in a beach. The shade of yellow that they used combined with the lighting seems like you just came from the beach and decide to dry off while sipping your favorite drink. The chairs and tables were wooden and the seat itself gives off like the furniture you see in old Manila houses. I'm not sure what they're called but it is something like rattan or "solihiya." The chairs by the window on the other hand looks like you're sitting on a swing as you enjoy the view outside. The overall effect of this shop gives off this summer vibes which is very unique consider that most coffee shops would lean into more cozy atmosphere with brickwall and even concrete like finishes.

As for their logo, I like how their it appears. The words "coffee" and "life" have a colon in the middle, which presents an analogy that means coffee is essential to life, and it should be part of our lives. Nice touch!

😋 TASTE

The coffee itself is quite good. The coffee beans that were used were not too strong. (I ordered their basic latté as per usual.) I also like the milk that they used because it doesn't feel heavy or overpower the coffee.

🧭 LOCATION

The facade is pushed back, which allows them to set up wooden chairs and tables for more seating. But the flip side of this is that the morning sun illuminates the area, which can be a great opportunity to take dramatic shots for more aesthetic pictures.

The area where the coffee shop is located is quite hidden from the main BGC road, which makes it a favorite hub for introverts because it is quiet and only a few cars pass by.

💸 PRICE & SERVICE

As I went to the counter, I checked their menu and noticed that besides the common offerings we often see in other places, they also serve rice meals and snacks like potatao wedges and fries, but overall, the menu is quite small, straightforward, and not overwhelming. As for the price, I'm surprised that it is not that expensive, given the setting of the place.

As for the customer service, they are very helpful, and even though they didn't have my specifics, I appreciate how they give out options instead, which is for me, a good sign that they value their customers.

📋CONCLUSION

If you want a nice, chill, simple, and quiet coffee experience with affordable food items, Coffee:Life is worth a visit. Located at G/F GSC Corporate Tower, Triangle Drive, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, they’re open from 7 AM to 12 MN Monday to Saturday, and 7 AM to 9 PM on Sundays. They also have another branch in Ecoprime Building, 32nd St. corner 9th Avenue, BGC, Taguig City.

A couple of things to note: they don’t provide straws, which I assume is to support environmental causes. While that’s commendable, the plastic cup cover doesn’t seal tightly, making it easy to spill your drink—something they could improve to avoid accidents. Also, there are concrete tubes near the entrance due to ongoing construction beside the shop, but these are temporary. Thankfully, I haven’t experienced any noise or dust that could affect the ambiance.
