(a Easter Sunday reflection from "Kingdom Come" - Holy Week Retreat of Feast Bay Area)
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." - Matthew 28:6 (NIV)
After darkness comes light—a symbol of hope. The Risen Lord has come! He has overcome death and is now glorified!
We often become accustomed to this event each year, but if we take a moment to truly reflect on the significance of Easter, it’s awe-inspiring. The King of all kings triumphed over sin and darkness. He paid the price for our sins and has risen again.
This reminds us that no matter what we’re going through—no matter how hopeless things may seem—God has already overcome it. And we can be reassured that we, too, can overcome, because the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives within us.
Through Jesus, we can hope again. Through Jesus, we can believe again.
Through Jesus, we can witness His glory.

Prayer:
Dear Lord,
We praise you and glorify Your Name. Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, and the power of His resurrection.
On this Easter day, we celebrate the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and love over sin.
Fill our hearts with joy, peace, and gratitude. Help us to live in the light of the risen Christ, sharing His love with the world. May we walk in faith, renewed by Your grace, and never forget the price He paid for our salvation.
Amen
