Pasig Blvd, Pasig

RATING: ❤️❤️❤️/5

==========

After a few detours today, I can finally end my day with a new café discovery. This is Café Oasis, located here in Rotonda, Pasig.

==========

🏢DESIGN

This is the smallest café as compared to the previous ones that I went to, and even though there are only a few chairs and tables, it is not claustrophobic. The lighting inside was good enough for customers to feel comfortable and cozy. It is neither too bright nor too dim, unlike that popular coffee shop with a mermaid on its logo.

The interior is simple but not tacky; there are only a few decorations here and there, but you know that each of them has served its purpose. I would also like to highlight that the inside is indeed very cold, which is so helpful in this summer heat. Because of this, it is easier for someone to settle and relax.

😋 TASTE

There are only a few items on the menu, which is reasonable given the fact that they have a small kitchen. But what stands out for me is that they offer different varieties of pizza, some of which are associated with a certain brand that starts with an "A." Apart from these, they also offer fries, savory toasts, and sandwiches, which I think are staples in any coffee shop. The prices are reasonable too.

I ordered their latte and tried their peanut butter toast (see pictures below), and here are my reviews. The toast is warm and nice to eat. The appearance is quite okay. Not too burnt nor too soft. The peanut butter is well-spread throughout the toast. Everywhere you bite, you'll certain get the taste, unlike other toasts, which are concentrated only at the center part of the bread. Which means that even if you bite its corners, you'll still be able to get the peanut butter. If there are any improvements, I recommend that they use mini-plates or more sturdy paper plates. As you bite on it, the crumbs of the toast would fall on the plates, but since it's too light, a sudden blow of the air conditioner or a slight movement would make the paper plates turn over, which would cause a huge mess.

As for the coffee, I was very happy to know that with all the local coffee shops that I encountered, they were the only ones that had an option for soymilk! As for the taste, I can say that this is by far the closest thing to that popular coffee shop that I mentioned earlier, with which I am truly satisfied. My only criticism is that, for me, it has too much ice, and each piece is quite large. I wonder how much coffee will be left if I remove all the ice from it. But needless to say, it is still tasty, and I'm still satisfied.

🧭 LOCATION

The location of this coffee shop is among its outstanding features. It is next to the biggest public school in the city, making it simple to capture the student market there. Additionally, it is close to the road where jeepneys frequently pull over to pick up passengers, so you can be sure there is no lack of potential customers.

💸 PRICE & SERVICE

The prices are reasonable, especially considering they cater to both professionals and students. In terms of customer service, this is my third time ordering from this coffee shop, but only the second time I’ve interacted with the staff in person. Service is good overall—nothing particularly remarkable to highlight, but their warm smiles, accommodating attitude, and approachable demeanor are definitely a plus in my book.

📋CONCLUSION

So there you have it. This might be a short review, but I think I tackled the important aspects of my review. Would I recommend this? Of course! If you are passing through this area in Pasig and want to grab a quick coffee, then this place is right for you. It offers varieties of coffee and non-coffee beverages that are cheap but still able to satisfy someone's hunger. They also have delivery options via Grab for those who aren't able to come personally.

A simple but cozy coffee shop at the heart of Pasig. Come and give Cafe Oasis a try!
