Knowing all of this, I was looking forward to this year’s conference. More than the classes or the powerful worship sessions, I looked forward to being able to breathe, to relax and to feel safe, because every year, Feast Conference has really become that safe space for me.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and welcomed me with genuine sense of acknowledgment. Volunteers spoke with sincerity as they looked at me and even pat me on the shoulder as they passed by. They introduced themselves first, making me feel not like a stranger, but like someone they were truly glad to meet.
